The Wembley Cup

The Wembley cup is a new pre-season football tournament hosted at Wembley Stadium. 

The Wembley Cup has been developed as a 'must-see' event for football fans to kick off the new season.

UEFA Champions League finalists FC Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic Football Club, and African Champions Al Ahly of Egypt will play each other in the very first tournament on Friday 24th and Sunday 26th July 2009.

Friday 24 July
5:15pm Celtic v Al Ahly
8pm Tottenham Hotspur v Barcelona

Sunday 26 July
1:15pm Barcelona v Al Ahly
4pm Tottenham Hotspur v Celtic

The two-day competition will consist of two matches to be played across each day and the winner of the tournament will be decided on a combined points and goals scored system.
