Things to do for less than £10
- Take a leisurely stroll along the famous Backs and view the impressive architecture of the colleges across the river.
- With its different garden themes, lake and woodland walk, the University Botanic Gardens are a tranquil haven to explore. Adults £4. Free entrance to under 16s.
- Watch time being devoured by the terrifying Grasshopper clock. Since Professor Stephen Hawking unveiled it at Corpus Christi, this £1 million clock has become a must-see attraction.
- The Fitzwilliam Museum offers free admission and is considered one of the finest small museums in Europe. It houses a unique collection of works of art, rated for their beauty, quality and rarity, as well as their historical value. Free admission.
- When in Rome do as the Romans do. When in Cambridge, do hire a bike - for as little as £5 for half a day.
