WFT Taekwondo Qualification Tournament, Manchester MEN Arena
The world's most important Taeknowndo event is coming to Manchester MEN Arena this September in the form of the 2007 WFT Taekwondo Qualification Tournament.
The event is the first of its kind to be held in the UK and will allow spectators the chance to see 721 of the discipline's foremost fighters from 183 countries battle it out for the right to participate in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Bouts will be taking place every day between September 28th to 30th, with one-day passes priced at between £10 and £15, while a three-day pass costs between £25 and £40.
Taekwondo originated in Korea, with tae translating as "to kick or strike with the foot". Kwon, meanwhile, refers to striking with the first or hand.
Address: Manchester MEN Arena, Victoria Station, Hunts Bank, Manchester, M3 1AR, GB.
