The Proclaimers, Manchester Carling Apollo
The Proclaimers bring their brand out of guitar-based white soul music to Manchester next month.
Since first appearing on the seminal music TV show The Tube in 1987, the band have become national treasures in their native Scotland in a career marked equally by critical acclaim and popular appeal.
The two identical twins are best known for their passionately delivered hits such as I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), Letter from America and Sunshine on Leith and for their trademark look of thick-framed glasses and lumberjack shirts.
A new album Life With You was released this year, marking the band's return to the pop scene after an absence of six years.
The Proclaimers appear at the Manchester Apollo on November 2nd.
Address: Carling Apollo, Stockport Road, Ardwick Green, Manchester, M12 6AP.
Also appearing at the Apollo in November is British soul survivor Beverley Knight, dance dons Groove Armada and the Fray .
