What's on guide
The Police, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
The Police will be hitting Cardiff's magnificent Millennium Stadium on October 19th, as part of their comeback world tour.
Influenced by jazz, punk and reggae, the band enjoyed overwhelming international success in the 1970s and 80s, care of the magical blend of Stuart Copeland's drumming, Sting's taut bass-lines and Andy Summers' legendary guitar riffs.
This is the band's first world tour in 23 years, and also coincides with the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the eternally popular, Roxanne.
Taking a sabbatical in 1982, Sting took a stab at acting, appearing as uber-Mod Ace Face in Quadrophenia and achieving massive success as a solo artist.
As one of only four UK dates, the Cardiff gig looks to be a sell out for the platinum-selling band, performing hits such as Message in a Bottle and Don't Stand So Close To Me.
Address: Millennium Stadium, Westgate St, Cardiff, CF10 1JA
