The Magic of the Musicals, Portsmouth Guildhall

A stunning celebration of finest songs and dance routines from the West End stage comes to Portsmouth this month in the form of The Magic Of The Musicals.

The Magic Of The Musicals brings together songs made famous by Billy Elliott, Cabaret, Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Grease, Joseph, Mama Mia, Les Miserables, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera and The Sound of Music in a piece of bravura musical theatre that leaves audiences breathless.

The show features performances from Wayne Sleep, Robert Meadmore and Melanie Stace, with musical accompaniment from a full orchestra and chorus.

Sleep made his name principally as a ballet dancer and garnered rave reviews for his roles as Puck in The Dream.

He has subsequently starred in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats and has undertaken choreography assignments for both the English National Ballet and London Contemporary Dance Theatre.
