The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, West Yorkshire Playhouse
A stage adaptation of CS Lewis The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe returns to Leeds later this month by popular demand, following a hugely successful run in 2004.
The play tells the story of four young adventurers who stumble upon an enchanted wardrobe during a game of hide and seek in an old mansion.
The wardrobe proves to be a portal to Narnia - a fairy-tale realm where woodland animals are imbued with the power of speech and griffins, centaurs and other mythical creatures roam.
Since its publication in 1950, Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia series has become a firm children's favourite and was adapted for the silver screen in 2005 by Walt Disney - a movie that went on to gross over £350 million worldwide.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe runs from November 24th to February 2nd.
Address: West Yorkshire Playhouse, Playhouse Square, Quarry Hill, Leeds LS2 7UP.
