Super Furry Animals, Liverpool

Welsh indie stalwarts Super Furry Animals are bringing their sunny pop/rock/prog/techno stylings back to the Carling Academy in Liverpool on October 19th.

Emerging from Cardiff, the Super Furries were a driving force in the Welsh music scene that blossomed in the 1990s, with bands like Catatonia, Manic Street Preachers and the Stereophonics all making it big.

The band have always stayed true to their roots, recording many of their songs and even entire albums in Welsh, being commended by parliament for their efforts to keep the language alive.

Touring on the back of their new album, Hey Venus!, fans should expect a distinctly Welsh take on psychedelia, bright colours and amazing costumes from a band who can't be pinned down and never disappoint.
