Sleeping Beauty, Bournemouth Pavilion

Pantomime season comes to Bournemouth later this month, in the form of a lavish new production of Sleepy Beauty.

The show is packed with stats of stage and screen, including Malandra Burrows of Emmerdale and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here-fame as the titular beauty, Chris Pizzey of the Basil Brush Show as Silly Billy and theatrical veteran Andy Ryan, who is regarded as one of the UK's leading dames, as the Wicked Witch.

Along with knockabout humour characteristic of the pantomime form, the production features spectacular sets and costumes, as well as special effects flying sequences and computer-generated animation.

Sleeping Beauty will be showing at the Bournemouth Pavilion from December 8th to January 6th.

Further attractions set to feature at the Pavilion over November and December include a stage adaptation of Road Dahl's Danny the Champion of the World and Thank You For the Music - a tribute to Eurovision-conquering 1970s chart act Abba.
