Race of Champions, Wembley Stadium

The cavernous interior of Wembley Stadium will be given over to motorsport next month for the Race of Champions.

Now in its eleventh year, the event attracts some of motor racing's top names of both past and present who will be competing to be named the best in the sport.

In the name of parity, all drivers used exactly the same cars and race on a parallel track - the idea being that by removing the advantages offered by different equipment, drivers will have to prove themselves by skill alone.

This year's event features appearances from a host of international talent including Michael Shumacher, Jenson Button and David Coulthard.

Racing fans wishing to try the track and cars for themselves will be able to do as a series of Track Days between December 3rd and 13th.

Race of Champions takes place at Wembley Stadium on December 16th.
