Passing Through, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham
Passing Through is an exhibition of some of the major work by renowned artist Pamela Scott Wilkie, who was heavily involved in the early stages of the Ikon museum project.
With much of her work inspired by travel, Wilkie held an exhibition at Ikon in 1972, which featured a series of screen prints signifying journeys by overland travel. The organisers state that this fascination remains in much of her later work.
Her work reflects "the threads that are pulled through different geographies, mainly due to the unique sensibility of the traveller," Ikon states.
The exhibition is held until April 25th, with all works available to buy.
Ryan Gander's Heralded as the New Black show is also currently exhibiting at the Ikon gallery, featuring a collection of installations, videos and objects that aim to stimulate social commentary.
Gander's acclaimed show will be taken down on March 24th.
National Express offers comfortable coach and rail services that allow art-enthusiasts to get to destinations up and down the country.
