On Ice at Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester

Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens has once again been transformed into an ice skating rink to mark the festive season.

On Ice at Piccadilly affords visitors the chance to take skating lessons or simply to go freestyle on the rink which has been decorated with a fairytale canopy of Christmas lights.

The KRO On Ice chalet, meanwhile, will be selling hot and cold drinks and snacks for spectators and those seeking sustenance after a tiring skate.

Students will also be able to skate for reduced rates on Monday nights as part of Cheap Skates Night.

On Ice at Piccadilly runs from November 6th to January 6th 2008.
