Matchbox Twenty, NIA, Birmingham
American rock band Matchbox Twenty will be bringing their massive-selling sounds to Birmingham to play a show at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) next month.
Close to five years since their previous studio album, the band, which has an enormous following on both sides of the Atlantic, launched 'Exile on Mainstream' a combination of new songs and classic hits.
Initially, the band had reformed last year in order to put together a greatest hits album, but after striking the right notes on their return, a number of new songs were recorded and are on the set list for Matchbox Twenty shows in 2008.
Tickets for what is bound to be a sell-out performance on May 2nd are on sale from £25 and the Birmingham show is part of a wider UK tour.
Having first opened its doors in 1991, the NIA is now among the foremost indoor entertainment venues in the UK and the "theatre-style" auditorium holds up to 4,500 people.
Birmingham is one of dozens of locations to which National Express operates a convenient and comfortable coach service.
