Manchester Food and Drink Festival
The tenth Manchester Food and Drink Festival is expected to be the largest and most exciting in the event's history, with hundreds of restaurants taking part as well as food fairs.
Taking place between October 5th to 15th, among this year's highlights are a Real Food Fair at Whitworth Art Gallery, the Taste, Dine and Learn Pavilion on Albert Square' (with over 40 different chefs performing) and a vast local producers market on St Ann's Square. Restaurants will also be running special tasting menus and one-off offers.
Meanwhile, for those more interested in drinking than eating, there is the Ale Day on October 12th, where visitors can sample 20 local brews which are competing to be named Best Brewed Beer in Greater Manchester.
The event culminates with an awards ceremony and gala dinner, with gongs on offer for categories including Sustainable Eating and Restaurant of the Year.
