London to Brighton Veterans Car Rally, Brighton

Brighton is the only place to be for fans of vintage automobiles this November, as the London to Brighton Veterans Car Rally once again takes over the seaside towns' streets.

The parade of cars will set off from London's Hyde Park on both days, and then will be available for viewing in Brighton's Madeira Drive and will feature in moving displays along Conduit Drive.

There is also a free-to-attend static exhibition of vehicles manufactured before 1905.

The event dates back commemorates the Emancipation Run of November 1896, which celebrated the passing into law of the Locomotives on the Highway Act, through which the speed limit for 'light locomotives' was raised from 4mph to 14mph.

Saturday's drivers are expected to arrive in Brighton from 3pm onwards and from 8.30am on Sunday.
