Jenny Eclair, Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham
Her name may sound sweet, but comedy lovers in Birmingham may be advised that Jenny Eclair's performance is slightly less sugar-coated.
Performing at the city's Alexandra Theatre on May 18th, the comedienne's Because I Forgot To Get A Pension Tour will see her tackle subjects such as sausages, motherhood, fashion and "the etiquette of alcohol".
Meanwhile, Thomas Quinn from the Mirror pointed out that Eclair is a "master of wicked one-liners and saucy innuendo".
And while she is best known for her stand-up work and on tour the Grumpy Old Women, Eclair has also made a number of appearances on television shows such as Room 101, Celebrity Fame Academy, The Joan Rivers Position and Celebrity Weakest Link.
In addition, she presents a weekend radio show on London LBC and has written a number of plays including the Andy Warhol Syndrome.
Those wishing to observe the stand-up comic in action will be happy to know that tickets for the Birmingham show are still on sale and cost £15.
National Express's coach and rail services provide quick and easy access to comedy venues across the country.
