Jean Michel Jarre, Symphony Hall, Birmingham
Jean Michel Jarre is the figurehead for an entire genre of electronic music, with a legion of fans and millions of album sales to his name.
Often celebrated as the premier ambassador of Europop, Jean Michel Jarre shot to international fame when his pioneering use of synthesisers began to shape music in a new mould in the 1970s.
The Frenchman was born to famous film composer Maurice Jarre but began experimenting with forms other than classical music during his youth.
Although his early work was largely unsuccessful, his breakthrough came with the 1977 track Oxygene, which reached number two in the UK singles charts, Starpulse reports.
He returns to touring after a ten-year break from the industry, with his newest release Teo and Tea likely to make the playlist for his performance at Birmingham's Symphony Hall.
National Express coach services are a quick and convenient way to get to top tourist destinations across the country.
