Jasper Carrot presents Rock With Laughter, Birmingham NEC

Local hero and celebrated gagsmith Jasper Carrot helms three special nights of comedy and music later this month at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena.

As the name suggests Rock With Laughter boasts, according to Carrot, "the world's best comedy acts" with "multi-award-winning musical talent" in what promises to be a humdinger of a party.

Comedians appearing include Barry Humphries in the guise of Dame Edna Everage, chauvinist bug bear Jo Brand and of course Carrot himself.

Meanwhile, musical performances will come from Brit soul star Jamelia of Superstar and Beware of the Dog-fame, Lady in Red-hitmaker Chris De Burgh, 1960s beat combo The Manfreds and jelly-legged jiver Shakin' Stevens, who enjoyed a string of rockabilly hits in the 1980s.

Rock with Laugher takes place at the NEC Arena between December 13th and 15th.
