Foo Fighters, MEN Arena, Manchester

Following well-received appearances at a number of UK festivals this summer, indie rockers the Foo Fighters are to play the Manchester Evening News Arena this November.

Formed in 1995 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl the band's tour is promoting their new album - their sixth - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, which is due for release on September 24th.

Among a host of hits, some of the band's best know singles include This Is a Call, Learn to Fly, Times Like These, Best of You and the heartfelt tribute to his former bandmate Kurt Cobain, My Hero.

The show takes place on November 3rd.
