Fabulous Food, Selfridges, Manchester

Manchester's Selfridges store's food hall is currently hosting a celebration of cuisine from all over the world in the form of the Fabulous Food event.

The event will see appearances from the cream of Britain's chefs including Mark Hix, formerly of the Ivy and currently executive chef of the Caprice Group, Tom Aiken and St John's Fergus Henderson.

Among this week's highlights are tastings of seasonal food including mince pies and Christmas puddings with brandy butter as well as the chance to try Panettone and Prosecco.

Meanwhile, gourmet sweet manufacturers Jelly Belly will be handing out free samples and Yo! Sushi will be hosting a rolling demonstration in the decorative art of making sushi.

The event runs until October 31st.
