Fabulous Food, Selfridges, Birmingham

Birmingham's Selfridges department store is currently showcasing a series of culinary events and tasting in store.

The Fabulous Food event takes in seasonal foods in the run up to Christmas, international flavours and all manner of gastronomic delights.

British chefs Tom Aiken, Mark Hix - who is current executive chef of the Caprice Group and former head chef at the Ivy - and Fergus Henderson of St Johns-fame will also be making appearances at the festival.

This week includes a Belvoir tasting, a Metfield Bakery event and a chance to sample Cafferai's wares in a special Halloween-themed event.

Meanwhile, tastings will also be hosted by Love Pies! and Indian spices specialists Kitchen Guru, while Yo! Sushi will be schooling would-be sushi chefs in the intricate art of Japanese cuisine.

The event runs until October 31st.
