Brighton's Speed Trials

The Brighton Speed Trials will be taking place this September attracting motoring enthusiasts from around the country to the seaside resort.

Taking place on September 8th at Madeira Drive near Brighton Pier, the annual event, which is one of the oldest of its kind in the UK, will see cars and motorbikes of all kinds compete in a variety of races along a quarter mile long track.

There will be a range of prizes handed out to the winners, including one for best overall time, one for the best time by a female driver and one for best motorcycle time. There will also be a prize for the fastest 100 metre sprint.

Entry to the event, which starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm, is free, and spectators can watch all the action from above on the main seafront road or from the lower terrace.

Cars and motorcycles of all makes, models and ages will be turning up to race, from modern day sports cars to vintage vehicles.
