Boyzone, Birmingham NEC
Re-formed boy band and Louis Walsh proteges Boyzone play their first major arena tour for seven years this year, setting foot in Birmingham for two dates.
Emerging in the wake of rivals Take That, the band were on the largest chart acts in the mid 1990s selling 15 million albums and scoring 16 consecutive top-five hits, six of which went all the way to number one.
Among these were the band's cover version of Cat Stevens' Father to Son as well as Love Me For A Reason, So Good and No Matter What.
Since splitting, the band's principal singer Ronan Keating has gone on to considerable solo success as a recording artists, while peers Keith Duffy appeared for a stint in Coronation and Stephen Gately has carved out a career on the West End stage.
Boyzone play Birmingham's NEC for two nights on June 10th and 11th.
