BRMB Birmingham Comedy Festival
Birmingham welcomes some of Britain's best comedy talent this October for the BRMB Birmingham Comedy Festival.
Among the talent appearing are Jimmy Carr of Channel 4's 8 out of 10 Cats, Sean Hughes, News Knight's Marcus Brigstocke, Andy Parsons from Mock the Week on Radio 4 and Josie Long, who was recently named Best Newcomer for 2006 by If.comedy.
Meanwhile, a performance of the hit West End show will feature a special appearance from actress Britt Ekland, while elsewhere there are new productions of Mike Leigh's classic play Abigail's Party and the TS Eliot-inspired Hysteria.
The festival takes place at a host of venues around the city including the Symphony Hall, the Alexandra Theatre, the Electric Cinema and a host of smaller venues.
